Dr. Ken Harvey:

2000 World Health Organisation (WHO) Fellowship

This 3 month Fellowship (July-September 2000) was designed to promote collaborative regional linkages, primarily to promote rational drug use. I  also explored the use of E-Health technology in the region 

I first worked with Dr. Balasubramaniam and his team at Consumers International Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (see below). 

I also assisted with the organisation of a Peoples Health Assembly, to be held in Bangladesh in December 2000 (see below).

I then participated in an E-Health Colloquium at Harvard University, see our class room, (endowed by Bill Gates!) below.

In September 2000, I visited Dr. Yang Yong Hong at the Beijing Children's Hospital and Director Li Dakui at the Peking Union Medical College. We also launched the Chinese Edition of "Antibiotic Guidelines" (see below).
